Pamela HoustonInstructor/Personal Trainer |
My name is Pamela Houston. I have been a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor for over 15 years. I am certified by I.S.S.A. International Sports Science Association as a Personal Trainer and I also have a special certification by I.S.S.A in Youth and Children Personal Training. YMCA of USA Foundation of YMCA Glass City Body-Building Championship Women's Middleweight Placed 2nd I have been in the fitness industry for over 15 years and have worked throughout the Greater Cleveland area as a Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor. I have recently been working for the YMCA of Greater Cleveland and have had the opportunity to be one of the main trainers to work with the Cardiac Rehab patients of Parma Hospital. I have had the pleasure to train over 100 + of these amazing people. They are living proof that you are never to OLD/SICK/ or Medically Disabled to start an exercise program and get in the best shape of your life. Exercise IS the Fountain of YOUTH. I also was picked in 2007 by the YMCA to be one of the 1st lead Walking Instructors to lead the Historical Walks through our Greater Cleveland Areas in conjunction with Clevelanders in Motion. My passion is helping others and in 2007-2008 I took a large part in Fund raising for the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign / 2007 United Way Campaign. Exercise is not just for Adults its for our future our YOUTH. I enjoy working with all fitness levels but I also specialize in working with Children. Child obesity is becoming a big statistic in the United States. Our children of our future are not as active as we were when we were children. Video games, TV and fast food are what our future generation is becoming. I design fun and healthy programs for children and their parents. Children that workout with their parents doing Personal Training session get the fastest results. They gain a stronger bond with their parents and become stronger and healthier at the same time. I also love to cycle. Over the 1990-2000's I have participated in the MS Bike rides, and my 1st time participating in this event I qualified to ride in the 1st Century Ride (100 miles) I enjoy teaching spinning and giving members the best workout they have ever taken. But my motto to all my members is "If you are not having FUN in class than you have to LEAVE." Exercise should be enjoyable but challenging. One of my passions is being a Personal Trainer. Why do you need a Personal Trainer? I look forward to working with you and seeing you in my classes. I promise I will help you be all that you can be and with a little determination, effort and consistency I will help bring out the amazing person that you are! Yours in Health and Wellness |
